The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an Accountant Intermediate to join our Finance team. The Accountant Intermediate will serve as a key administrative partner delivering vital financial support to faculty, staff, and other team members. In this role, you will oversee a substantial portfolio of funds, actively contribute to the budgeting process, and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a Monday-Friday work week. Schedules are flexible within the core set of work hours.
Work Locations
This full-time hybrid position is based in Ann Arbor, MI. UMMS Hybrid work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change depending on business needs. Currently, the majority of the work is done remotely with an in-person expectation once or twice per month.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
